Generally, if you have a standard Home Means Nevada plate you have 60 days, if you have a specialty plate you have 30 days. Depending on the type of license plate, you may have either 30 days or 60 days to use the plates on another vehicle or turn them in. Nevada requires you to keep your plates and either use them on another vehicle or turn them in to the DMV.
